JOB: Area Sales Manager

Our client an industry leader in the Commercial Kitchen and Laundry Equipment in East Africa is looking to hire Area Sales Manager.

 Job Purpose;

To achieve area sales targets by delivering growth, profitability and cash flow targets to meet business objectives

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES;

1. Achieve a monthly sales target.
2. Achieve Qualitative Targets- monthly, quarterly & annually. Qualitative targets include:

  • Promoting sales through influencers/ consultants.
  • Conducting Promotional activities (exhibitions and demonstrations)
  • Popularizing Sheffield showroom by engaging customers to visit our facilities.
  • Using web-based tools.
  • Managing key accounts.
  • Identifying low hanging fruits & upselling.
  • Implementing CRM activities through strong services.
  • Move dead stock.
  • Participate in development of new products

3. Servicing the needs of the existing customers.
4. Compiling and analyzing sales figures and submitting real-time reports.
5. Collecting customer feedback and market research
6. Reporting market trends, competitive information on sales, product development and merchandising for growth of sales and profitability.
7. Any other duties that may be assigned to you by your manager.
8. Implementing the sales strategy while monitoring the scope areas in line with overall strategy, policies, processes and procedures achieve the institutions' objectives.
9. Acquiring new direct and indirect customers to enhance business scope.
10. Implement route to market, ensuring accurate and timely tracking & reporting of primary and secondary sales of teams.
11. Developing customer relationships through regular operational reviews to ensure that product availability, distribution and seize opportunities.
12. Reporting market trends, competitive information on sales, product development and merchandising for growth of sales and profitability.
Achieve on-time in-full and error-free customer orders and liquidate slow moving and dead stocks.

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS;

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in any business-related course.
    • Project Management qualifications and/or experience will be an added advantage.
    • Have minimum 5 years’ experience in sales or sales related environment like sales coordination or channel management.
    • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
    • Good planning and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication and 'people skills'
    • The ability to work calmly under pressure.
    • Willing to travel quite extensively
