JOB: Business Development Manager

Our client in FMCG Industry is seeking to fill the position of Business Development Manager – In- charge of developing business in the Region.

Job summary;


  • Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in the assigned market.
  • Manage all sales and support staffs and directs a sales team while providing a leadership, towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values.
  • Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for clients and the area sales team members.

Principle duties and responsibility;


Developing a business development strategy focused on set goals and objectives
Managing records of sales, revenue, and other important data.
Developing ways to improve the customer experience and build brand loyalty.

  • Build long term relationships with New and existing customers.
  • Researching on Industry & Market trends
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after sales support.
  • Working closely with the marketing department to develop bespoke campaigns to relevant prospects
  • Create weekly/monthly forecasts on revenue/target management and end of month reports on revenue and market performance
  • Delivering against these targets to ensure revenue expectations are met
  • Maximizing networking opportunities and regularly using conferences, events and trade shows to increase awareness and develop a further network of contacts



  • Graduate of Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration and Economics/MBA Preferable.
  • At least 5 years of managerial experience in Business Development in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Company background.
  • Experience in FMCG Industry (African Markets) would be preferable.
  • Fluent communication in English, Swahili and French will be added advantage.
  • Deep understanding of different channel operations, retail/business environment and trade practices.
  • Possesses excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Able to analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into sales opportunities
  • Person of high integrity.
