JOB: Human Resource Manager

Our client an industry leader in the Commercial Kitchen and Laundry Equipment in East Africa is looking to hire Human Resource Manager.

 Job Purpose;

Maintains and enhances the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.

 

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES;

  1. Leading the organization's HR department including talent acquisition, learning and development, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, talent management and manpower planning of the department.
  2. Developing and implementing HR initiatives in line with organizational objectives
  3. Responsible for managing various stages of employee life cycle which include Talent Acquisition Operations, on boarding support, Internal Job Posting, Incentive Management, Relocation Support, and employee separation management.
  4. Responsible for recruitment strategies and processes for attracting talented professionals with diverse knowledge and skill sets across industry sectors.
  5. Laying foundations for further growth and institutionalization of the HR processes and management.
  6. Designing performance-based evaluation tools and strategies for talent retention and motivation in consultation with management.
  7. Handling grievances and addressing the same, Employee counseling, Integrity Management, ensuring the code of conduct to maintain discipline and harmonious working environment.
  8. Design the Employee Engagement Calendar, plan and execute at the store levels to create Fun at workplace.
  9. Plan & execute of Reward & Recognition programs, rewarding the best employees, trophies & certificates, design and communicate the incentives structure, create an incentive centric culture.
  10. Create, maintain & review the MIS reports, correct & update the database, addition/deletion of records, maintenance of employee personal files and HR Audit.
  11. Contributing to long-term goals around business and people development, including succession planning and talent acquisition.
  12. Leading the analysis of employee feedback and data, with the aim of creating a better working environment and engaged culture.

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS;

  1. Minimum Bachelor’s degree/certification in HR
  2. At least 5-7 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing sector
  3. Should be a member of IHRM
  4. Experience in setting HR systems & processes with a strong focus on Compliance, Performance Management Systems.
  5. Strong communication skills with ability to persuade senior management and colleagues
  6. Good negotiation, Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
  7. High degree of honesty and integrity.
