JOB: Human Resource Officer

Our client in FMCG Industry is seeking to fill the position of Human  Resource Officer-Mombasa

Main responsibilities;

  • Providing HR advice and support to other staff on a wide range of operational human Resources issues and advising staff on issues of employment legislation.
  • Assist in the coordination of the Performance Management process with other Departments ensuring timely assistance and submissions of SMARTs, KPIs & Appraisals while maintaining up to date performance assessments reports and development plans for the staff.
  •  Coordinating the process of staff appointments, which includes issuance, renewal and termination of contracts in liaison with the Head of HR & other HODs.
  • Assisting in the roll-out of HR related internal communication & other HR correspondences. Coordinate the daily functioning of the HR Systems.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  •  Ensure updated filing for all staff and proper record maintenance for every staff within the organization Identify staff vacancies and recruit on basis of requirement discussed with the department head, interview and select suitable applicants.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management from a recognized institution OR a degree in Social Science and a higher diploma in Human Resource Management;
  • Member of IHRM is a MUST.
  • At least 5 years of experience.
  • Previous experience working with a manufacturing company is an added advantage
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
  • He/ She should possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
