JOB: Project Manager – Africa

 

 

Our client, a multinational and a leader in building and Management of Telecom Infrastructures is seeking to fill the position of Project Manager – Africa.

 

Job Purpose

 

Carries out management, control and monitoring of cases with a high technical and financial value (products, equipment, facilities, services, solutions).

Be the interface between the customer and the services of the company through management of business, technical and financial subjects, according to the regulations and the requirements of time, cost and quality.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

 

Organize and build quotations

  • Identify customer needs or receive requests for quotations.
  • Organize demand analysis on various technical points.
  • Analyze the special technical specifications (CCTP) or the specifications.
  • Prepare a business proposition.
  • Negotiate the business proposition.

 

Project management

  • Develop schedules, build project teams and deploy human resources on the different projects, depending on the skill needs of the client.
  • Set up structures for project steering.

 

Monitor the projects’ progress

  • Prepare and participate in the steering committees (portfolio review).
  • In coordination with the project managers, monitor the quality of services, the standards of production, the deadlines and the respect of specifications.
  • Define and implement corrective actions.
  • Negotiate with the customer possible contract adjustments.
  • Follow receipts.
  • Follow installation teams.

 

Possible activities

  • Oversee the billing and validate budget adjustments depending on the progress of projects.
  • Provide competitive intelligence.

 

Qualifications ;

  • Professional Degree Project Manager in Networks and Telecommunications.
  • Engineering School in Telecommunications (ENST, INT).
  • Business School with a strong interest for Telecommunications sector.

 

Knowledge & Required skills;

  • Fluency in English and/or French.
  • Use of ERP software
  • Organization of the Supply Chain
  • Technical and commercial negotiation
  • Be able to introduce a commercial action plan
  • Ensure a technology watch
  • Good knowledge of the sector and of telecommunication projects
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Management / Aptitude for working at height / Mobile / Organization / Responsiveness / Timeliness / Very Good Relational / Good Listening / Credibility / Sense of observation / Sense of responsibility.
