JOB: Senior Brand Manager in FMCG

Vacancy: Senior Brand Manager in FMCG, reporting to General Manager, supervising the following teams;

o Category retail Supervisors

o Trade Marketing Executives

o Merchandisers

Job Purpose

Planning and executing strategies of respective categories across the sales & distribution, marketing and part of the supply chain functions to satisfy consumer and maximize sales.

Key Deliverables

o Formulate and implement product category sales and marketing strategies.

o Responsible for sales growth and EBITDA target achievement for category

o Managing and controlling category budgets

Duties and responsibilities.

Will be responsible for managing various brands in the organization

o Lead and Manage the departmental strategy through processes and procedures/standard achieve the organization’s objectives

o Developing and cascading the Section targets through a performance management structure while inspiring team to achieve the section scorecard in line with overall objective

o Ensuring respective Brand is available and visible at all points of sales in general and modern trade.

o Planning, budgeting and executing of advertising and promotional activities for the brand, leveraging on consumer marketing platforms.

o Ensuring merchandising material is appropriately placed at all Point of Sales (POS).

o Forecast demand for their brand based on marketing plans and external factors.

o Identifying growth and innovation opportunities through generation of consumer and market insights.

o Responsible for competitive analysis and ensure pricing and value chain models are competitive and well defined for their brand.

o Responsible for talent management in the department including coaching, mentoring, developing, motivating, training and evaluating staff to achieve highest levels of performance

o Benchmarking and implementing best practices in brand management & respective areas of work

o Implementing product quality, customer & Service Excellence and Change initiatives to achieve desired business plans and culture.


o Degree in Sales and Marketing

o CIM Certificate

o At least 5 year(s) relevant experience managing brands

o Track record of managing successful teams

o Good communication skills

o Analytical skills

o Negotiation skills

o Creative thinking

o Person of high integrity
