Vacant: MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Our client in telecommunication industry is looking to hire a Maintenance Technician based in Nairobi.

Work Station: Nairobi

JOB PURPOSE;

The suitable candidate should supervise all operations and maintenance of telecom sites, optimize equipment according to the standard procedure, improving performance and the quality of services by ensuring the achievement of all Key Performance Indicators (KPI).

 MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES;

• Detect customer needs and propose optimal solutions
• Be willing and able to respond remotely, or in person, to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Optimize operations through new procedures or a different organization
• Plan and follow precisely all the actions decided by management or customers
• Optimize expenses for maintenance equipment through a cost management strategy
• Manage and implement improvement plans on operations and maintenance
• Management of Spares and Filtering Elements in the Region
• Writing incident reports for critical or repetitive incidents

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS;

• Bachelor degree in the field of energy
• 2 to 5 years of experience in the field of telecom site maintenance, particularly in the field of Passive Maintenance
• Knowledge of telecom machine and equipment installations, their technical specificities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong knowledge in report writing, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work within a multicultural and diverse team
• Good analytical skills
