Marketing and Brand manager

Our client in the FMCG industry is looking to hire a Marketing and Brand Manager.

Work Station: Nairobi

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading, managing and supporting numerous strategic projects and initiatives furthering our external and internal marketing and communications goals across all our brands.

Marketing and communication:
• Support the Head of Business Development in developing the content and digital marketing strategies for Business Development.
• Support the development of content for marketing collateral, including daily, weekly and monthly internal and external newsletters, publications and social media.
• Manage the implementation of content content approach across all platforms and ensure that execution is in-line with plans for all our different brands.
• Implement digital marketing approaches, including content management, SEO, mass mailing and social media.
• Prepare digital media analytics and impact reports.
• Design and develop creative digital marketing presentations, briefings, etc. that will maximize brand presence.
• Ensure user data is captured in line with our data management strategies and that the storage and use of it complies with Data Protection laws.
• Evaluate emerging technologies in digital marketing and provide perspective for adoption where appropriate.
• Support through training on digital and social media management and relevant policies.
Brand management
• Work on ensuring compliance with brand standards across all media for our proprietary and trademarked products and designs.
• Design and monitor business performance goals to drive brand awareness observe and analyze market and competitor trends.
• Monitor the quality and integrity of our products and services, and respond as needed to ensure brand alignment.
• Develop marketing budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations and profit-loss projections.
• Formulate marketing strategies for company product, developing and managing company's advertising campaigns.
• Gather market intelligence to gain a clear understanding of consumer insights and initiate new marketing programs.

• Degree qualification (preferably in Marketing, Media, Communications or Journalism). Masters qualification (preferably in Communication, Digital Marketing, Media or Journalism) will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of at least five (5) years of relevant work experience.
• Proven working experience in content and digital marketing in international organizations or professional services firms.
• Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO, marketing database, mass mailing, social media or advertising campaigns.
• Solid knowledge of website analytics tools.
• Working knowledge of HTML and web publishing and constraints.
• Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels.
• Experience in setting up and optimizing Google AdWords campaigns.
• Good understanding of the FMCG market is an advantage.
