Vacant: WORKS SUPERVISOR
Our client in telecommunication industry is looking to hire an Installation Works supervisor based in Nairobi.
Work Station: Nairobi
JOB PURPOSE;
The ideal candidate should carry out the supervision, management and follow-up of sites, ,ensure the interface between the client and the company's services during the realization of technical projects and ensure the respect and conformity of the work carried out according to the safety standards and the requirements of the specifications.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
- Supervise employees and subcontractors and ensure that all work is carried out according to specifications
- Follow the development of the sites and ensure their achievements according to the standard installation rules.
- Solve the problems encountered during the construction of the sites.
- Ensure delivery of materials on site and handle them in a professional manner.
- Ensure that all projects are carried out on time and in accordance with internal safety and ethics standards and that of our customers.
- Coordinate and report daily progress to the project manager.
- Provide daily reports and briefing to the project manager.
- Adhere to the installation standards according to the standards in force while respecting the standard Safety standards.
- Coordinate with the client's supervisor for updates to schedules, site access, progress and acceptances.
- Ensure the proper functioning and safety of materials and equipment supplied to subcontractors.
- Monitor daily productions and sign temporary attachments with subcontractors.
- Ensure a continuous presence on the sites for the supervision of the works.
- Alert and inform the project manager and vis-à-vis the client for any incident on the sites.
- Respect and know how to manage the customer and all those involved on the sites.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS;
- Higher technician in Telecommunications or Electricity.
- Knowledge of transmission, radio and telecommunications is a must
- Knowing how to detect incidents and propose a solution.
- Good knowledge of the telecommunications sector and projects
- Mastery of standard IT tools: Excel, word, power point, pdf
- Ability to read and analyze the technical documents provided.
