Job Purpose;

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing and tendering activities and ensure that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality. The candidate is also responsible for maintaining positive supplier relations, evaluating supply options, approving purchases, and maintaining accurate records.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases
  • Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers
  • Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
  • Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options
  • Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies
  • Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts
  • Ensure that the products and supplies are high quality
  • Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development.
  • Prepare tender/RFQ Proposals by overseeing all aspects of proposal preparation, ensuring quality, and compelling bids are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the tender/RFQ proposal submission process for formatting, completeness, consistency, and compliance including monitoring all related liabilities and third party contracts.
  • Reviewing all customer requirements to ensure that they are met in the proposal and collaborate with a wide variety of involved parties to include all necessary information within the proposals.
  • Managing databases by organizing and tracking bid submissions and responses, updating the databases regularly and setting up customer profiles in appropriate databases and maintain customer information.
  • Prepare reports.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement or any relevant field.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems
  • 4 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Exposure to Online tendering and ERP system is a must
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills and presentation abilities

JOB PURPOSE:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and managing the on-site construction of projects; keeping in check the main contractor and sub-contractor(s) in your assigned site to ensure that every project is achieved within set timelines, at the minimum cost possible without compromising quality

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews
  • Meets construction budget by monitoring project expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions
  • Accomplishes construction project results by defining project purpose and scope.

  • Well versed in ICT -MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel and Power-point) both as a working and reporting tool with excellent command of oral and written English
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, codes, and other material pertinent to construction.
  • Working knowledge of building components and systems.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
 

The Property Manager will be in charge of managing and overseeing the property, this means overseeing financial matters, legal aspects, and even maintenance budgeting.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
 

Property Management

·         Taking ownership of the site  by supervising and managing day to day operations for the site

·         Manage and plan restoration and service works

·         Must be aware of the lease clauses for all the sites

 

Finance & Administration:

·         Book Keeping/Receiving payments

·         Administrative and maintenance duties in billing, processing payments with regards to the property management

·         Be able to manage property accounting books, develop reports and manage suppliers and network with other service providers.

·         Managing the junior staff in property and ensuring proper maintenance

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Project Management or equivalent experience preferred.

 

Experience:

●      3-5 years’ experience in real estate or sales.

●      1-3 years’ management experience a plus.

●      Solid knowledge of office software such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

●      Must be familiar with the law (rent tribunals, land rates payments and schedules of payments)

Our client in telecommunication industry is looking to hire a Design Manager based in Nairobi.

Work Station: Nairobi

JOB PURPOSE;

The ideal candidate should Study and carry out the mechanical design of parts, products or structures and formalizes them through standardized plans of details, sub-assemblies or assemblies and definition files; study and carry out plans or drawings of construction projects, rehabilitations, interior and / or exterior works development according to the technical and architectural solutions transmitted and in accordance with the rules of the end customer.

 

 MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES;

  • Collect the client’s wishes (via the architect’s plans) in terms of the functionalities of the work to be carried out (purpose of the work, aesthetics, etc.),
  • Precisely analyze the technical file: dimensions, technical constraints (distribution of concrete, reinforcement plan, etc.), topography (slope, soil analysis, etc.) and regulatory constraints, etc.
  • Have the client (architect, town planners, etc.) and the design office validate the first drafts and technical sketches produced (section plans, detailed plans, etc.),
  • Estimates of deadlines and costing of plans in conjunction with the construction economist and design engineers,
  • Carry out surveys in the field,
  • Integrate dimensions and technical details in the creation of graphic elements,
  • Design the graphic elements (visuals, study plans, execution plans, etc.) necessary for each stage of the construction: for project management (section plan, sketches, etc.), for project management execution work (detailed plans, formwork plans, etc.),
  • Produce nomenclatures with diagrams or drawings illustrating the execution and assembly processes,
  • Check and validate the quality of the plans and documents produced, in order to obtain administrative authorizations (building permits, etc.).
  • Adjust the documents in relation to the reality on the ground (measurements, visuals, etc.) and the progress of the work,
  • Ensure the relationship with the various clients (architects, design engineers, etc.) as part of the monitoring of the work,

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS;

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, civil engineering, or any other equivalent field
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in the realization of telecom works
  • Telecoms project design and monitoring experience is required
