Work Station: Nairobi

JOB PURPOSE:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and managing the on-site construction of projects; keeping in check the main contractor and sub-contractor(s) in your assigned site to ensure that every project is achieved within set timelines, at the minimum cost possible without compromising quality

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews
  • Meets construction budget by monitoring project expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions
  • Accomplishes construction project results by defining project purpose and scope.
  • Leadership on site: Dealing skillfully and diplomatically by managing the requirements of a diverse range of people.
  • Approves construction projects by conducting inspections at critical phases; obtaining approvals from buyers.
  • Prevents fines and interruptions by complying with and enforcing, codes.
  • Ensuring workmanship quality and speed remain paramount to the success of all our projects
  • Dealing with the logistics of supplies
  • Scheduling sequence of works, plans for construction, accountability for provision of materials
  • Provide technical input regarding design, construction, or modifications as required
  • Liaising and working jointly with the design team and structural detailers to implement refinements
  • Enhances company’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Schedule delivery of needed materials and labor requests.
  • Trouble-shoot and identify construction problems; offer timely and safe solutions.
  • Ensure project proceeds in a timely manner.
  • Manage tool and materials inventory for each project.
  • Complete necessary reports on construction progress.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Building construction or Civil Engineering
  • 3 years’ experience
  • A thorough technical understanding of building construction materials and methods
  • Well versed in ICT -MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel and Power-point) both as a working and reporting tool with excellent command of oral and written English
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, codes, and other material pertinent to construction.
  • Working knowledge of building components and systems.
  • Self-driven and proven ability to work smart and to meet deadlines without supervision
  • High degree of personal integrity
  • Possess business etiquette with a strong work ethic, high level of honesty/integrity, results oriented, ability to deliver under pressure

Job Location; Nyahururu

Salary Budget; KES 25,000 -30,000

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform all aspects of sampling, monitoring and testing required to maintain compliance with wastewater treatment process, and storm water and sludge management
  • Manage grease traps to ensure they are attended to without fail
  • Work closely with the QAM to ensure external analysis is carried out as scheduled without fail
  • Manage all the water coming into the ponds in good time and all the waste water being released to the municipal for compliance
  • Maintain open communications with the engineering team regarding the treatment process and pump stations operation and malfunctions, as well as make recommendations for repairs and improvements to these systems
  • Maintain cleanliness of the ponds and the Effluent treatment compound at all times
  • Record keeping and documentation of the treatment plant

JOB PURPOSE;

To undertake scheduled and breakdown maintenance of engineering equipment’s or plants with the aim of ensuring smooth run and maintained   machine uptime. Analyze technical data of the equipment performance and give technical advice to management on corrective/improvement or cost effectiveness sustainability

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintenance of generators, compressors, water chillers and air coolers, Pumps, Blowers, alignment
  • During breakdown, dismantle, diagnose and repair in the least possible time to avoid loss of production
  • Diagnose problems with folk lift, then refer to transport department for any repairs.
  • Lifting of equipment’s on the site when required for project completion.
  • Allocation of staff to complete tasks required in the department and monitoring of manpower utilization.
  • Preventive maintenance schedules for all above equipment’s should be put in place.
  • Ensure all spare parts are correctly stored and easily available at the shortest possible time. Records and stocks need to maintained for efficient resolution of breakdowns
  • Staff training in correct procedures during maintenance jobs taking place
  • Safety of the staff at all times to be ensured.
  • 5S and housekeeping to be maintained in workshop and all surrounding areas

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS;

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering/ Mechatronics, preferably plant option
  • Previous experience in manufacturing industry preferably FMCG
  • 5-10 years’ experience preferably in a similar position

JOB PURPOSE;

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation, servicing, and repair of high pressure steam boilers, pumps, motors, oil heaters, gas controls, emergency power generator and boiler controls

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
