Our client in the logistics industry is looking to hire a Housekeeper based in Nairobi.

Work Station: Nairobi

JOB PURPOSE; The suitable candidate should maintain a clean, sanitary, comfortable and tidy environment for either private households or commercial establishments

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
 sweep, scrub, mop and polish floors
 vacuum clean carpets, rugs and draperies
 shampoo carpets, rugs and upholstery
 dust and polish furniture and fittings
 clean metal fixtures and fittings
 empty and clean trash containers
 dispose of trash in a sanitary manner
 clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers
 wipe down glass surfaces
 tidy up rooms
 wash windows as scheduled
 sort, wash, load and unload laundry
 iron and press clothing and linen
 sort, fold and put away clean laundry
 operate mechanized cleaning equipment
 maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
 monitor and report necessary domestic repairs and replacements

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS;
 high school diploma or equivalent required
 knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods
 working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment
 physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend
 good communication skills including the ability to listen carefully and ask the right questions to gain clarification
 integrity including honesty and high ethical standards

ACCOMODATION MANAGEMENT SUPERVISOR

Job Location; Abyei ,South Sudan

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • ensure the smooth running of accommodation facilities, including the safety and well-being of guests, tenants and residents
  • develop and build positive relationships with residents, tenants and guests
  • control a budget and finances, manage stock levels and order supplies
  • communicate with reception services to coordinate and plan the allocation of accommodation
  • liaise with other departments within the organization, such as catering for conferences, and relevant external agencies
  • arrange repairs and maintenance of the facilities
  • inspect the accommodation to ensure that hygiene and health and safety regulations are met, carrying out risk assessments as necessary
  • supervise the work of cleaning staff and ensure standards are maintained
  • make sure adequate security for the building is provided

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS;

  • Degree in hotel management
  • At least 7 years of experience in Customer Service, housekeeping
  • financial planning and budget management skills
  • supervisory or leadership skills
  • the ability to work under pressure and to solve problems
  • attention to detail and accuracy

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in receiving, marking, washing, and ironing clothes or linen in laundry
  • Observes operation of machines and equipment to detect possible malfunctions.
  • Investigates and resolves customer complaints of unsatisfactory work or bundle shortage.
  • Plan and set goals and objectives by using strategies to achieve targeted objects
  • Sets standards of performance to be followed by the crew regarding dry cleaning and laundry procedures.
  • Assess each subordinate’s performance and give realistic goals to be met based on their capabilities.
  • To organize, by setting up logical staffing structure to maximize efficiency of all subordinates.
  • Enhance crew’s skills by designating them to different job assignments of dry cleaning and laundry operations

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS;

  • Trade certificate or university degree with experience in housekeeping services management.
  • At least 4-5 years of experience in a similar position.

Job Location; Abyei, South Sudan

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in Property Physical Inspection and Verification of assets and equipment owned by the company under the direct supervision of the Property Management Cell within the Performance Management Unit
  • Prepare Physical and Inspection verification forms in both electronic and paper formats
  • Support the Impairment test and review of organization assets and equipment
  • Support the identification of organization Inventory items not serviceable and ready for the write-off and disposal process
  • Assist in the High Value inventory stock counting
  • Assist in the serialization and codification analysis process of the company properties
  • Support in the electronic tracking of the company properties.

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS;

  • Trade certificate or University degree in relevant field
  • At least 7 years of experience managing company fixed asset or in a related position
  • Having Fixed Asset knowledge
