Job Purpose

The Business Development Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic client relationships, and securing contracts for the Company's Integrated Facilities Management and Business Services solutions.

The role focuses on acquiring new clients, expanding existing accounts, and positioning the company as the preferred facilities management partner through solution-based selling. The Business Development Executive works closely with Operations, Finance, and HR to develop competitive proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure seamless transition from sales to service delivery.

The role contributes directly to the achievement of the Company's growth strategy by increasing market share, strengthening customer relationships, and supporting long-term business sustainability.

Job description

1. Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within both public and private sectors.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Build a sustainable sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, referrals, and market intelligence.
  • Drive sales of the Company's Integrated Facilities Management and Business Services solutions.
  • Achieve agreed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Expand business within existing client accounts through cross-selling and upselling.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Understand client operational challenges and develop tailored service solutions.
  • Conduct regular client visits to strengthen relationships and identify new opportunities.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the sales lifecycle.
  • Support client retention through proactive engagement and account management.
  • Coordinate client feedback and recommend service improvements.

3. Tender Management & Proposal Development

  • Identify tender opportunities from government agencies, NGOs, corporates, and development partners.
  • Coordinate preparation of Expressions of Interest (EOIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), bids, and tender submissions.
  • Prepare professional technical and financial proposals in collaboration with Operations, Finance, HR, and Procurement.
  • Ensure timely submission of all bid documentation.
  • Maintain a database of tenders, proposals, and contract opportunities.

4. Market Intelligence & Business Planning

  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
  • Analyse market opportunities and provide recommendations for business growth.
  • Identify new sectors and industries with potential demand for facilities management services.
  • Monitor industry developments, pricing trends, and regulatory changes.
  • Prepare business development forecasts and market reports.

5. Contract Negotiation & Commercial Management

  • Lead commercial negotiations with prospective clients.
  • Prepare quotations and pricing proposals in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Support contract reviews to ensure commercial viability and operational feasibility.
  • Negotiate contract renewals and service expansions.
  • Ensure proper handover of signed contracts to Operations for implementation.

6. Marketing & Brand Representation

  • Represent the Company at industry forums, conferences, exhibitions, and networking events.
  • Promote the Company's brand and service offerings.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on campaigns that generate qualified leads.
  • Maintain a professional corporate image when engaging clients and stakeholders.
  • Support development of sales presentations, brochures, and promotional materials.

7. Collaboration with Operations

  • Work closely with Operations to understand service capabilities and client requirements.
  • Coordinate site visits and client needs assessments.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are operationally feasible and commercially viable.
  • Support contract mobilization by ensuring smooth transition from sales to operations.
  • Participate in client review meetings where necessary.

8. Sales Reporting & Performance Management

  • Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, proposals, and contracts using the Company's CRM.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales performance reports.
  • Monitor pipeline performance and sales conversion rates.
  • Track achievement against sales targets and KPIs.
  • Provide revenue forecasts and business development updates to management.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 4–6 years' experience in Business Development, Corporate Sales, Key Account Management, or B2B Sales.
  • Proven experience selling Integrated Facilities Management, Property Management, Outsourcing Services, Business Support Services, Cleaning Services, Security Services, Building Maintenance, or other business services.
  • Demonstrated success in acquiring corporate clients and achieving revenue targets.
  • Experience preparing tenders, proposals, and commercial bids.
  • Strong network within corporate, NGO, manufacturing, financial services, hospitality, telecom, real estate, or public sector markets.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
