General Manager

The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company, including sourcing, quality control, sales, safety, and operational efficiency, driving strategic initiatives to achieve sales goals, cost control, and customer satisfaction while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards

The General manager is also supposed to provide guidance and leadership to the team for the purpose of achieving individual, departmental, and organizational targets.

1.      Oversee daily operations for all business units. I.e. sourcing ordering, pricing, sales, dispatch, and delivery of products to ensure business continuity, effectiveness and efficiency.

2.      Create and implement periodic growth strategies for each business unit.

3.      Set key performance goals with the teams and follow-up for implementation.

4.      Periodically set and discuss sales targets with the team and their supervisor.

5.      Establishing strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and customers to ensure business performance.

6.      Participate in performing periodic performance reviews for the teams to measure performance and set improvement goals.

7.      Business Growth- Drive revenue growth and profitability.

8.      Oversee the development and delivery of digital marketplace solutions and related services.

9.      Build strong relationships with customers, investors, financial institutions, development partners, and government agencies.

10. Financial Management- Lead budgeting, financial planning, and resource 

Qualifications

·         Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Finance, Economics, Technology, or a related field.

·         Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) is an added advantage.

·         Professional qualifications in leadership, finance, or governance are desirable.

Experience

·         Minimum of 5 years' progressive leadership experience, with at least 3 years in a senior executive role.

·         Experience in Agribusiness, Agri-Tech, Digital Platforms, Financial Services, Supply Chain, or a related sector.

·         Demonstrated success in business growth, strategy execution, fundraising, and stakeholder management.
